going from a 245/35/20 to a 245/30/20 (correct size for the front) your front tires will now be 1/2" smaller in height of the sidewall (or 1" overall smaller)

going from a 275/35/20 to a 265/30/20 your rear tires will now be approx. 11/16" smaller in height of the sidewall (or approx. 1 5/16" overall smaller)

the only problem i see if using a 245/30/20 up front and a 265/30/20 in the rear. these are not the same overall diameter therefor your rear tires will be 1/4" taller in height of the sidewall (or 1/2" overall taller) than your front tires.
I'm not AWD, so I'm not so concerned about that though. I currently am running about almost inch taller in the back with the setup that is on the car now.

I may stick with the 245/35/20s up front to save some money for now. This venture is costing too much. This will put me 1/2 taller in the front overall, which I don't think would be noticable. Plus it will give me a little more cushion for bumps.

a 245/35/20 in the front will rub on sharp turns (ie when you fully turn the wheel left or right)

not to mention keeping a 245/35 up front with a 265/30 in the rear will mean your sidewall for the front will be approx 5/16" taller.

Who and what are you talking about?

Also, these is the setup I will use until I decide what to do up front. As you can see, I am only going to be exactly .5" shorter overall in the back. Not that bad, expecially if I get the clearance from the fender I am looking for.

While the rear tire is only .5 inches larger than the front, your front tire is 1 inch larger than spec already almost 4% speedo error. This makes your rear tire 1.5 inches over spec which I'm pretty sure is harder on your awd gearing. From what I have understood about awd and 4 drive vehicles that running different diameter wheels/ tires can cause problems. You even posted something to this effect yourself in the thread about stagger fitting the awd car. I'm posting off an Iphone or I would quote you. I personally don t really care I'm just trying to help you out bro!!

I know what you're saying. I know your are looking out for me. But what I think you didn't read is that my car is REAR WHEEL DRIVE NOT ALL WHEEL DRIVE.

lol. Hope that clears things up

My post refering to the other guys wheels selection on his AWD car was simply pointing out the info. I was not expressing my car is or was an AWD car.

as i mentioned the 265/30 is going to help alot but you may encounter more rubbing with those run tires. they are over spec'd and members have said they rub on hard turns with a 245/35 up front.

I do have a "bit" of rubbing when turning and going over inclines. No rubbing at all when on a flat or semi flat surface. This is surprising because when Goodyear was installing the wheels/tires, they swore they wouldn't clear and fit. But once the car had been lowered to the ground, it turns perfectly and i get no scrubbing (unless on an incline, but even then, it is very minor). I might try to sell all 4 current tires and go to 235/35s up front.

I agree with you exactly. Probably the best set-up and no rubbing in the rear. However, depending on the tire you ultimately choose, you may be able to get away with a 285 in the rear and your sidewall thickness will be closer to the fronts as well. Make sure you get the right offset...probably anywhere around a 44-45 offset and you'll be fine.

Just curious, for the rear fenders, did you or do you plan to roll/shave it? If so, I'm sure you'll be fine.
