GS Owners Age

35, Wifey bought last Dec, after loosing my IS is April last year. Love the Lexus brand but def Sold on brand after my wife and sons accident which they pretty much walked away from w/o a scratch leaving my IS totaled. Picked up an 07 350. Put a little over a 1/3 down. Thought about getting the IS350 but for the same price why not get a bigger car. I do miss the handling of the IS though. That will be a project for me and the GS later.

Age is a difficult question. I am only seen every few years, but most people say that while my appearance has changed over the years, I look about the same age in the 50s as I do now. My costume has significantly improved though.

^ It makes sense. In general most people are more willing to buy a very sporty but less luxurious car when they are young.
You get the GS or LS because you want more comforts when you're older.
In my case i have been driving cars of roughly the same price since I was 21 (my first car was a BMW 328 cabriolet, then I got a 330 cabriolet, an M3 cabriolet, and finally my GS460. So the cars were roughly similar value in today's money but my income went up by about 8X in this timeframe. I guess I became conservative after nearly losing my license in the M3.
Now I'm back after speed, but not at the expense of luxury. I'd much rather have a fully equipped 550i than a base M5. And I prefer value because I have become a successful investor and don't want to **** away my returns, which is why I favored Lexus over BMW for depreciation reasons.

You might be right. One would think that if someone is spending 80k on a brand new car, that they would make sure it's fully equipped. All of the M5's I've seen had every option with the exception of x drive of course. I have a 530i and was in the market for one btw, but decided to stay away from BMW. Anyway back to the subject, I just turned 22 and have been looking for a 3gs for a few months now, and I will be financing.

I do agree that the average age on this thread is MUCH younger than I expected, although I also agree that a lot of older owners are just not forum junkies like me.
I'm 58, and my second car is a Z06 - so I'm probably not typical anyway on this forum
