Bluetooth for music from my iPhone?
Bluetooth works fine for telephone functions but is there any way to get music playing on my iPhone's iPod function to play over the car speakers? In my house it works with external bluetooth speakers. Can I do it in my Lexus? If not, is there a way to upgrade it?
My GS300 does not have the navigation system if that matters. I also have a GX470 that does have the navigation system plus the DVD player and I'd like to do it in that car, too.

As an alternative (if you didn't already know this one):
Is your car equipped with the "aux-in" port (3.5mm jack) in the console? If so, you can run a wire to the headphone input of your iPhone to Aux-In. It obviously requires an extra wire in the passenger compartment, but it can be run under the console cleanly I would think. We're doing that to our Droids, currently just keeping the phone in the console or in one of the cupholders.

no, 2006 doesn't have aux, started in 2008 i believe
you have gs300 so it's 2006. only 2010+ with the gen6 system has the bluetooth streaming i believe. your car has gen4 system. if you want better ipod integration with the apple usb cable, you can get the vaistech ipod kits

As is the case with most things....you get what you pay for. You could buy the VAISTech kit @ http://www.vaistech.com/products/sl2vi.php for like $400 and stream audio and video from your Mp3 player. It's pricey though.
