LFA style wheels on GS?

i think it looks way more sporty than the stock 18" wheels, and nothing like the maxima's or g35 rays.
compare below. the LFA wheel design is light years ahead.
the only reason i wouldn't buy them is that I don't know who makes them, or what quality they are, or what the warranty terms are.
are all cast wheels made roughly the same?

No. There is gravity casting - basically pouring the metal into a cast, and then there is low pressure casting which creates a stronger wheel. Low pressure casting is what the standard OEM wheels have.
However I wouldn't buy a cast wheel at all. The F-Sport wheels are forged and cost about $1700 a set. Much better to get those than spend $1200 on a set of cast wheels made by god knows who.

seeing how this ebay seller's wheels are all cheap....... full sets for $600 shipped............ I would be hesitant to buy.
his listings don't specify warranty terms.
chitty warranty = they don't stand behind their product
i would knock off $200 from that $800 price tag

i think they look great on the IS, but only so-so on the GS. i have been considering the F-sport wheels but kinda have the same feeling about those too as far as how they look on a GS.

yeah. not a lot of oem wheels look good on the GS.
blame it on the voluptuous bubble butt figure.
If lexus made cheap non-forged lfa wheels to order, I'd consider them.
LFA style looks much better than the original f-sport wheels.......

I remember everyone crying about Rota wheels when they first came out. No one believed that cheap wheels in the Philippines would be able to withstand daily driving and road racing, but held up perfectly fine on many ITRs including my own.
I have yet to see a set of wheels that are daily driven just fall apart under normal driving conditions.
The only reason I'm not purchasing these wheels is because the vendor on Ebay seems to know close to nothing about the product he is selling. Here is the reply I got from them today.
"We have not test fit factory caps on these wheels. Hub rings should not be needed on a 2008 GS, but we cannot guarantee that. You must have the original lugs measured for the correct length and seat to determine if they can be reused. "
Not knowing if factory caps fit, I can live with that. Can't promise if hub rings are needed or not?!?! Doesn't know what lug nuts will work with it?!?! Give me a break....
Maybe once someone else comes out with a set they can stand behind, I'll purchase.
