I'm running in the front, 245/30/20x9 +38 and 285/25/20x10.5 +45 in the rear. I'm not super low, about 26 inches up off the ground from mid fender and I get minor rubbing. I will probably do some rear fender mods shortly. The front is nothing big, just some rubbing when I turn sharply. The rear is only when I hit big dips or holes. I wouldn't mid the rubbing in the rear, but its lightly slicing the tires.

What kinda mods need to be done to the front fender,i dont mind heat molding them a bit but i dont wana remove or cut any holes in them, they are really good for sound dampening.

lkap...what have you done in front to get that to work?
I took off the wheel to see where the tire was rubbing. It was along the edge of the fender, removed that plastic lining along the edge held by 5 screws. There's a link in the DIY thread for 3gen Gs about how to modify fenders

nice, ill check that thread out,I havnt messed with front fenders much, but the rear quaters are welded to the inner wheel well on the edge where you roll them under,I dont know how guys are getting away with triming them,it would seperate the 2 parts?

kcook, where is your front rubbing,im surprised it does with a 38 offset on a 9inch wheel.the set im looking at is a higher offset so im sure more mods will need done.

Only on the plastic on super sharp turns. I heard other CL members heat the plastic liner and pushing it to remold for more clearance. I think ima leave mine, it rubs very seldomly and doesn't bother me.

super sharp turn rubs would be of little concern to me either.but mild bumps and standard 20 mph neighborhood turn rubs would have to be fixed

do you run alot of camber to make this work? how large a tire could you use and still get away with this with the fender mods you have?

^^ my camber is -3.0 in the front and -3.5 in the rear, the tires I have are probrably the best sizes considering my drop and fitment. I am also in spec with my speedo

It sounds like their its going to be tough to get away with these offsets with out stretched tires,I just cant do it,I already have a car that beats the crap outa me,I wana roll a lex plush as i can on 20s with some decent tires,if i roll the front and back fenders and remove the plastic and clips, will these type wheels with non stretched tires have a chance of working as well as 38 f 42r offsets in the same widths?

If you want plush go with a more conservative offset and width. That way you don't have to run stretched tires and have to worry about rubbing and fender mods.

Dont mind the fender mods at all,Car is at my shop under construction with all 4 tires off on stands anyway,Dont really mind slight rubbing at slow speed uturn, but higher speed corners and bumps is not gonna cut it.wish I could make some test runs on these type wheels once the fenders are modded out when Im done with this project
