Maybe he was lucky enough to have the car given to him.

haha maybe i'm in the minority but i like the look of the cherry wood against the black interior. my prior car was a 2nd gen gs with grey interior and it was just too monotone so i like the contrast now.

i'll echo the others in that it looks like a very good install, and if it fits with other mods on your car then i say great. my car is mostly stock so i don't think it would exactly look right in that case.

tacky imo. the center console should have been wrapped on the sides also. i like the effort but imo the wood looks classier.

I'm not sure why everyone keeps saying you can see wood. All the wood was covered, you can't see any.

I knew most people wouldn't like the wrap.

Most of you will be mad when i say this, but i bought the GS because it was a cheaper car and bang for the buck you can't compare. My last few cars were Porsches and I needed to free up some money for investments so i bought this car.

Since i bought this car outright i decided i would screw with it as much as i want.

Wait until i have to make the wheels fit, there is going to be a lot of cutting and pulling, considering i want to drive tucking rim all day long!

My build will not be for the conservative or faint at heart!! haha

take a look at your 3rd pic. look around the cup holder lid and ashtray lid. you can clearly see the red wood.

Maybe an investment in the black panels that come in some of the other Lexus GS models will be an option for the future.

Exactly! the OP ruined his car!!!!! What was he thinking?!

We should all be trying to figure out how to put MORE wood in the car... MORE WOOD = MORE lUXURY

I have to say, I also HATE the overly reddish colored wood in the black interiors. It's just UGLY. I'm looking at buying a 3GS and while I've ALWAYS been a black interior guy, the color of the wood is making me avoid black interiors.

While I don't like fake CF, I think the OP did a very nice install job from the photos. I also think that CF (real CF) looks AWESOME in a black interior car and definitely doesn't cheapen it (take a look at a Audi S5 with a black/CF interior). Also, too much wood in a car (like those lame wood panel kits) make the car just look cheap. Too bad Lexus didn't do the grey wood color in the black interior, I think that would probably look the best.
