Default Ugly Red Wood out Carbon IN...

I know a lot of people don't like the carbon wraps, and yes it is a cheap cover up.

BUT i think the red wood is terrible. Makes me feel like i was driving my grandfathers car. The car is "old man" enough so i changed it up.

Hope some of you like it...

although i dont like it, it looks like you did a good job installing it.

congratulations, you have taken the luxury aspect of the interior out.

why didnt you go for a IS if the GS is "old man" ?

I like my wood, it looks classy. But nice job nonetheless.

Hahaha the luxury of my interior was based on the "wood"... I guess that means the caravan at work has Lexus luxury...

I like the GS just not the old style wood grain. I've had a lot of wood grain interiors but cherry red is not nice...

looks pretty clean.

how did you get the thing to wrap perfectly around the steering wheel?
you have to use heat gun?

if someone has the *****, they should get some black stain and refinish the wood

yes, wood interiors = luxury.

you have ruined your interior with the matte fake carbon stick on bull****, the interior looks very dull and plain as it stands.

the caravan at work has faux wood.

you can make a direct correlation between wood interiors and luxury vehicles.

notice how the 3gs "ultra premium/luxury" comes with a wood steering wheel and shift **** while the "touring" does not?

more wood = more luxury.

wood grain is wood grain, yes there are different kinds, but can you give an example of a "new style" wood grain.

The wood in the caravan doesn't compare to the wood in Lexus. Just like your carbon fiber wrap doesn't compare to the real thing.

If you don't like the cherry red, why did you buy it in the first place? And if the 3GS is too "old" then again, why did you buy it?

It's a public forum, expect to get both positive and negative comments.

It seems that at least you used a "real" carbon wrap, not the CF look-alike vinyl wrap, and you've done a good job. I'd have had the wood trims refinished in dark grey although it'd be much more costly and time-consuming..

Looks like you did a good job! I'm not a fan of red wood either and it took a while to find the GS that I liked with the black wood trim on it. I'm loving mine!
