I don't understand de-chroming the grill when you have chrome wheels (it looks good though). Now the car doesn't flow as well. Are u planning to change wheels or de-chrome the rest of the car?

I going to keep the chrome wheels. I think it flows better, not so broken up. and there is still a ton of chrome on the car. I want to dump the chrome on the mirrors and the bottom door strip as well some day.

looks sportier without the bigass chrome bird beak.

but you should dechrome around the headlights to complete the look.
that chrome now looks like a pair of glasses.

see this for example...

You are right on the glasses thing. Well one thing at a time. Maybe next year I'll have the rest painted

WOW ... the 3GS looks a ton better with the grille surround body-matched!!!

I say de-chrome and paint the headlight surround MRM... but leave the chrome window surround and lower door molding

I think it looks good either way. But I agree with Ice350, I would have left it chrome with your wheel choice.

I dunno about around the headlights though. Maybe its the picture dunnojack provided. I think that was a really bad photoshop or low quality picture, it just didn't do it for me.

I like the way it looks painted the 08 front grill was way to much chrome.

Default I love It! Wanna do the same!

How did you go about de-chroming the grill surround? Did a body shop do it for you pre-paint or did you do it?

I had the body shop do it. Basically they pop of the grill and Bezel, sand it down and do the normal paint procedures. It's easy when the pieces are plastic.
