Default New Wheel Sizes

I am in the market in purchasing new rims/tires for my 06' GS430 and still debating on sizes before i make a mistake and buy the wrong ones that rub or ruins my car.

I was told to get this size:

Front 20x8.5 w/ 245/30/20 tires
Rear 20x10 w/ 285/25/20 tires

I live in the city of Chicago and think that 25 is way to thin and especially when i drive like a *** with my V8.

Can i get some recommendations on rim/tire sizes for my Lexus. keep in mind i live in the city with lots of pot holes and i am not ghetto. just like classy things

thats pretty much what most of us run with aftermarket wheels,,,if u do 35 and 30, its gonna rub,,,just make sure rims are forged and avoid those potholes,,

That sidewall of the 285/25 is almost exactly the same as 245/30 the middle # is a percentage of the width of the tire.

I had a 245/30/20 and a 275/30/20. It fit fine and looked decent
