After market remote starter
Hi riaz350,
After my 2011 previous post and extensive research, I decided on the Viper model 5704v in 2013 for my 2007 GS450H. I purchased it from Pacific Sound in Cathedral City, Ca. (near Palm Springs) The total amount for the product plus installation came to $1,031. I just Googled that model and it's selling (without installation) for $189. However, the newer model 5904v is selling for $299 (without installation) I don't think you can go wrong with the Viper brand. I was advised by a car guy to have it installed by a company that installs stereo equipment in cars. There are different features in different models. I chose the one I have because of its ability to respond up to a mile away, and it does. I live in the Coachella Valley where summer temperatures can easily rise to 112 - 117. For the past 2 years, this device has been a God send for me, has not disturbed how my car runs, and is highly reliable.

There were several comments about the after market Remote start. The benefit of the OEM which they do install after sale (Expensive at about 700) is that you only have one FOB.
Two questions regarding my 2013 GS 350.
1 - If anyone has the OEM version, is the distance the same as using the lock function or is it reduced?
2 - I live in the Cleveland area, can anyone recommend an after market install company?
Thanks

Yes I have an 08 gs460 and it has the Viper 5906 pager alarm with remote start. Viper says it will not work. But if you take it to a good car audio shop they can get it to work. Make sure they work on high-end vehicles not your average car audio shop. It won't be cheap but is possible.

Pro installer here. This vehicle is easier than most. All connections @ brake and push button. Only thing that sucks is locks are IN THE DRIVER DOOR (panel must be removed and wires run into door).
