Extra beeps when unlocked doors
Today when I went to grab the driver door handle I had two extra beeps. What does this indicate? I know with aftermarket alarms it means the alarm was set off, but what does this mean on the gs?
Thanks

It's supposed to mean that somebody has tried to open the car or something without the key while it was locked. Of course, it seems to happen in situations where I really doubt anybody did that.

It didn't unlock all doors because I touched the rear door and it did the beep again and I heard it unlock those. So that means someone was trying to get smart and open my car?
Thanks guys.

Naw I wouldnt worry about someone trying to get in your car, Its happened to me in my backyard, I usually blame it on the times when I'm not sure whether I locked the car or not it will beep twice and also beep twice when I go to open it, you can always go to the dealer but I doubt its a big problem. See if it happens again.

This occured today when the key was either in the car, or when it wsa in my wifes pocked and she tried to open the passenger side door that was locked. Side note - mr3gs300 - what is the pic in the signature? Is that real? Where are the details of the car?

It seems no one has a solid answer... because this happens to me too and I am always confused and wondering why but eventually gave up.
One other thing is Why sometimes there are two beeps when I lock the car with the remote key? Shouldn't it be only one beep?

This can also happen if one of the doors or the trunk isn't completely closed. You try to lock the car but it can't lock because something is open, and you get one beep and then two when everything else unlocks.
