Default Offset question

Is 20x8.5 25mm all around ok with 3rd gen gs?
Tire sizes are 225/35/20 in the front
And 245/35/20 in the back
My car is not lowered but planning to go with springs
With this offset and tire size the rims and tires are not tucked in like the stock ones so when i drive in to my garage it rubs a little bit

Offsets are conservative, and your tires are over spec that probrably why you rub. the right tire should be a 245/30-20

I don't agree with pimp.
These offsets are definitely not conservative for the GS. My 35 offsets are conservative. 25 is aggressive and that would cause rubbing if the fenders aren't rolled.
Tires are not over-spec either. 225-35 should be the same aspect ratio as 245-30. In fact, 225-35 could be lower. The back with 245-35 also should not be a problem. The problem here is the aggressive offsets.
Just roll the fenders and it should be fine.

I have 35 in the rear for my offset and they tuck well since I plan on going air soon, but 25 is over a inch more out and it would be very close to rubbing if it not all ready rubbing in the rear with no rolling or pulling. The tire size should help but if you ar poking out to much it going to rub. The only way that pimp is not rubbing is he is shaved all the way to the wall of the fender.

ah... shoot..
i know it's part of my fault but i just have to blame on the guy at the rim shop about this offset
it's just so much drama ever since i changed my rims and tires
not just rubbing issue but yellow and red light came up saying 'check system' and
'low tire' and stuff i think it's about the tire pressure sensor issue i've been going back the shop almost 4-5 times in 2 weeks (i work 5days a week)
i'm totally lost guys... spent money that i've saved for awhile and issue after issue..
if i work on fenders it wouldn't rub even after i lower my car or it's not guaranteed
cus i know in this economy not alot of people are looking to rims and tires if i decide to sell mine
guys... please give me your best opinions god damn it....

he also has a 8.5 which is slightly over 6mm more conservative than your 9. I am shaved but I am also running 20x9 +12 and 20x10.5 +26. A 8.5 +25 I call conservative, and don t think a fender mod would be needed at all, the front is slightly more aggressive but also should not need fender mods with the properly specified tire on the rim.also the 225/35 is 10mm larger in diameter than the 245/30 putting the speed error up to 1.58% (not a big deal) but the 225/35 is definitely taller. If your rubbing plastic wheel liner use a heat gun and try to heat it and mold it out of the way. BTW swtjlsy a +35 and +25 on the same width wheel is only 10mm difference under 1/2 inch difference. Don t claim to be an expert by any means but definitely have a good understanding.

I think +25 is a bit much (agressive) for us guys that dont want to do fender mods. My fronts are 20x8.5 +40 and tires are Continental DWS 225/35-20 also lowered about 2" (Tanabe DF210). I have no issues with rubbing whatsoever!

Just curious..what shop did you go to? Can you re-order a new pair for the fronts as "exchange"? Some shops, like Discount Tire may do this if they helped you with the fitment and it doesnt work. Even if you paid a re-stocking fee...it would still be worth it.
