DJ Auto Sound & Security in Greenwich, Connecticut. I highly recommend them. It wasn't cheap, but they did nothing but quality work.

Car looks much cleaner! What components did you use?
I'm not too much of a fan of JL anymore... They're too pricey on repairs IMO.
I've since opted to other brands and couldn't be any happier .
I also see you've upgraded to an audison amp.... Pretty hefty amperage it's juicing! Are you using a HO alt/HO batt to back it up?

I used Audison Voce AV K6 two way component speakers. What a treat these are. Like a live singer and orchestra in my car. From hip hop and r&b to jersey club to electronic and edm music. These go above and beyond. I may as well park in front of a club and have a bouncer and red velvet rope. It's an audio orgasm every time. The mid bass is nuts and the highs are bonkers as well
As for the alternator and battery, I asked the shop if i needed that stuff and they said stock should be adequate. As for battery i use a Optima Red Top.
What's your audio set up?

Yeh the repair was like 285 after tax and s&h. I was always satisfied with how the 10w7 performed, so i really wanted to keep it. They said my mrp m1000 1000watts at 2ohms was under powering it and that's y it slowly killed the sub (I'm assuming the alpine amp didn't actually pump out those numbers, if so it would be the same as the av 5.1 pumping out 1000watts at 2ohms to the sub) If that wasn't the reason my sub first blew, I'm guessing it's because i was really trying to blast it out of the gates after a cold start out, fresh out the "nightclub" trying to stunt LOL.

I bet the Audison's sound super nice! Wait till you switch over to the 3-way systems.... I sat in a s2k of a friend who I've suggested his build from top to bottom, and his Morels have EVERYONE drooling all over it, even the girls who sat in there (who knew nothing about audio) REALLY liked the sound stage and output on the car .
I haven't been working much on my sound stage lately.... Been working on SQUEEZING a sub in the car, but my car consists of: MB Quart components and a JL G6600 for now..... My Sundown SA-8 is on it's way here (paid for, waiting on arrival), and I just ordered a CT-Sounds 1400.1. Expecting at least 800-1000w RMS to a 8in sub in a ported box.
Hopefully I'll see what some folks see with at least 140dB+ LOL!
