because when you're actually required to pay for something, that's when people sit back and think, do I really want this or not. more often than not, they don't.

that's not what I meant. You still bought them from Nigel, and according to one of his earlier posts:

I am thinking about let's do it at the 10 person price and let the list go on.
If we ever meet 20 people in a month from the first posted I started, I will refund the difference to all of you. Otherwise, 10 people price is what it is.
And the difference is $15 less in the 20 people group buy, but we might need 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or few months to get 20 people. I know some of you want it asap. Order time will take a few weeks too, if we wait until we hit enough people, you guys will need to wait for a lot longer to enjoy your bulbs.
How does it sound?
