I'll post some pics soon. I'll also provide you guys with part number to the cover. Yes this will take care of it. I have a 2006 Gs 300 and it work very good. It will fit. This is a easy to install too. Another thing, it will fit the Is line up. Will try getting the pics and the part number and please don't try the heat wrap is a Lexus not a Honda.

OMG..Finally, someone with a solution, instead of the "annoying comments" about repeated questions. I know that the Injectors and Fuel pump is loud. And I know its a known issue. My mechanic and I came up with this idea about wrapping the fuel pump, but i really hope that the LS cover will work for our GS. Thanks for the heads up "5000670". I can't wait to see the pics and get the part number.

What you are hearing are the direct injectors working. The noise that is being produced was there the day you bought the car, and it will be there until you sell the car. Just live with it.
MadDawg- NO, You're not correct..Before you make a smart comment, do some reading and know what you're talking about first.

sounds like a cool solution.

but the GS300 was always quieter than the 350 to begin with.

and even the IS350 sounds quieter than the GS350 for some reason.

If you're referring to your previous GS 430, it didn't have a direct injection engine and the 3GR-FSE engine that was in your 06 GS 300 was always quieter than the newer 2GR-FSE engines used in the current IS 350, GS 350 and your GS 450h. That's probably why you never really got to hear the ticking noise. My 07 GS 350 isn't too too bad but I can certainly hear it at slower speed, especially after cold start..

Not sure about that statement, my 2006 GS300 has the ticking sound and it is very audible when I pull up against a wall or something for the sound to bounce off of. Sounds pretty much the same as my 2010 GS350.

yeah i have a gs300, and even though i am insanely picky about extraneous noise, I can't say that i have any complaints about loud injectors.
Acceleration on the other hand, I'm lucky if I can beat a Honda Odessey 0-60.

I cannot hear my engine unless I'm next to a wall with the window down, or in my gargage with the car running. My car came with an air conditioning system and I much prefer that to opening windows.

Well, since i haven't heard back from the poster about the fuel pump cover. I decided to call my Local Lexus parts Dept and inquire about it. They were able to give me 2 part numbers. There will be a total of 2 covers that will basically clam shell over our fuel pump. The price for each one is $12.77. It seems like a reasonable price to try, since the heat wrap will cost about $20 ..haha

Here are the part numbers ( #12606-38010 & 12605-38010). They even sent me a PDF of the LS fuel pump cover. One thing I'm confused is that the PDF shows 2 fuel pump on both sides of the engine. Anyone know anything about this? Attach is a the PDF.

If i don't hear back from 5000670 soon, i might just go ahead and buy it and give it a try.

BTW BinaryJay- Get a life and get out of your mom's basement for once. Always complaining about every damn post..
