Finally got the PS nav override installed with my ML+. Weird quirk when playing audio from the ipod and hitting the Nav switch. The "iPod video out" text appears. i cannot goto my maps screen. the screen returns to the ml+ music playback screen and stays there. When I turn off the sound system, the screen remains stuck on the ML+ music playback screen. I can goto any other page but not me navigation screen! (info, menue etc are accessible). when i return to maps or Audio, the screen returns to the =ML + music playback.screen even though the ML+ is off?.

I got around this by restarting the car with the audio off at start. My maps do appear. Is there something I am missing?

Where did you buy the Vais+ from? How much?

Got it from Vais Direct. Wanted the latest fw, but now there is an even newer one that solves other bugs. Hopefully that will be it

i have installed ml+ with ps before, never had this kind of problem. have you tried removing just the ps kit and see how things function first?

yes. it worked fine before the Ps kit. However, there was a bug that rendered the ML+ buttons useless unless I switched sources and back. Vais is aware of this and supposedly has a fw fix. I have yet to download it . the instructions are confusion as heck.

Just do the firmware update. Its actually not hard. Skip all the steps which involve e checking the firmware version and just do the updates.

It's simple download each update file onto a separate USB stick.

Then follow the instructions to load each patch in turn.

It's confusing by reading your first post... Not sure exactly you are experiencing.

I do agree the Vaistech manual is hard to follow sometimes. I just installed the ML+ this past weekend with the latest firmware (4/11/2011) so far it worked okay with the limited amount time I played with it. But do try to update the firmware to see if your problem cures.

Yes the new firmware is much more stable. With the old firmware, the screen would sometimes freeze and you would need to press the audio button to un-freeze it. This doesn't occur with the latest version. Screen works fine.

Also if you connect in iPhone, you get photo caller ID when a call comes in.
