the lower reliability/more recalls, less torque and lower quality suspension would be the deal breaker for me on the 350...

To the op, you get awd option, newer nav, v6 ( gas prices are high) and also keep in mind gs350 has a timing chain vs gs430 timing belt that is due at 90k miles which can set you back $1000. I had 2 recalls performed on my car, honestly the car was and still is reliable. Regular maintAnce like fluids, brakes and tires is all i done. Also there are way more gs350 then 430 so you have room to choose and play around. Gas prices might go even higher and people won even look at a v8 which can be bad for resale value. Also being on this forum more frequently are the 2006 thats a rattle box, problems with steering. There is a golden rule don't but the first year of a model of the car, becuAuse they usually have bugs, which usually gets resolved within the next year of the model. In the end its you're choice i stated through my experience and knowledge in the end its what sounds better in you're mind.

The rattles are a luck of the draw thing all the way through the 2010's from what i have seen... I personally have no rattles in my 06 but i see lots of other people with 06's,07's,08's ... that do..... The MPG issue is a joke because the 350 doesn't get but maybe 2 MPG more and from what i have seen and most 350 owners post they actually get less than the 430.... The 350 has had a major internal engine recall and most users on here complain constantly about how "loud" the engine runs. AWD is a great option if you live in a cold climate and drive in snow all the time however its a bad option if your going to lower your car because of the vibration problems.

Rattles are usually heard when its cold outside, if you live in a warm climate you shouldn't be having them. Usually its for the 06 models, I have some rattles its an 07. The so called major engine internal recall was for the valve springs. They used a 3.3mm and changed it with a 3.5mm. Which honestly is not a huge job. The loud noise is on every new lexus, its Direct Injection ticking. I have personally heard it on the GX460,IS250,IS350, and ES350. About gas mileage there isn't ton of difference between them but there is. If you are idling on a V8 its gonna eat more then a V6. Also if gas prices keep going up people will steer far away from a V8 sedan. I just gave a knowledgeable advice, as stated earlier its up to the OP of what he prefers. Not trying to talk a GS430 down here, but if it was my choice (as it was when i was buying i took the GS350). Main concern between the 2 for me would be that major service timing belt at 90k miles. It can range anywhere from $800-$1600, while GS350 has a timing chain.

i agree with the timing belt thing except the cost my dealer quoted 1000.00 and that includes a new water pump. The 350 also has a water pump and at some point it will also have to be serviced so it will require a very similar service. I also would like to say on vehicle whether you have a timing belt or CHAIN is it exempt from the possibility of failure. Bottom line is as i said from the first post i made the choice should be the car that makes you smile the most.

Screw 350's, 430's, and 460's. 450h for me all the way LOL

Actually I would wait for the 4GS to come out to see how the 3GS prices drop, then i'll look at my options again.

gen 5 is much better than gen 4 navi for sure. 07 also plays mp3 which is a plus. I still prefer V8 over V6 anyday regardless of Horsepower (in most cases). GS430 is also more rare, slightly better resale IMO.

Just realized the 06 is an gs300 but is has ml,nav, rear cam, new tires & a cpo warranty.........Now which one would you guys pick. Keep in mind the 07 gs350 does not have a cpo warranty & has 54000 miles & the 06 has 64000 miles
