Default effed up my tranny?

so i was driving roughly 40kms and going up a slight hill, and accidentally put my car into neutral and it was revving up, and stupid me... i didnt let the rpms drop and switched it back into drive... it didnt sound bad or anything but the slip light came on which means it was a pretty forceful shift

the car drives fine, no problems shifting, except now when im reversing and shift back into drive i sometimes hear this sound as if its slipping/rubbing switching into the gear.... yesterday it was happening every shift, but today it only did it twice when i tried to replicate the issue..

what could i do?

Sounds normal, now days with new cars you can't actually neutral drop it.

yeah so i did some more testing
if im in neutral and have the brake pressed in, then shift into drive, its an instant shift and its fine

if im in neutral with no brake pressed in, it kind of hesitates for a second and you can feel/hear a rubbing sound

so this is normal?
can someone test this on their car and let me know?

There is always a slight delay when shifting into reverse or out of reverse.

yeah i think im just tripping out... its just something ive never noticed before so thats why i was alarmed
and its not necessarily going from R to D.. it happens when sitting in N and shifting into D without pushing the brake in...

but like i said, i think im just tripping myself out lol

while working at Lexus, they make us watch all of these videos - in one of the videos it specifically talks about how you can't damage the car w/ a neutral drop
