did anyone ever spill any harsh chemicals on that spot ? or even some kind of oil?
car mechanic maybe? If a huge blob of oil got on there, it could def absorb it all through the holes.

i don't know how it looks in real life, but in that photo, it's not too bad. Painting it would definitely make it worse.

I read somewhere that if you let baby powder sit on the stain overnight, it can pull oil stains out of leather. I dunno, worth a try. rub some powder, then vacuum the next day.

Here is what mine looks like. It is about 1.5" in diameter.

mine looks exactly like that. except I have no idea what it is, I noticed it there after buying my car. I'll try to get a pic.

Leatherworldtech.com may have leather dye which matches your leather color. I am not affiliated with them btw. Have purchased their product and was pleased with the color match. I had a similar problem which was caused by an incompetent, irresponsible technician at the dealership when it was being prepared for CPO just prior to my purchase. Even if I had noticed the spot before the purchase, I don't think I would have let the dealership touch it.

the problem with dye is that it needs to sink into the leather.
in order for that to happen, the topcoat finish must be removed.

huge can of worms.

If you ever find a way to make it even a little better, please let me know. Any idea how your seat got like this?

I have no idea how it happened. It was there when I purchased it. I thought I was going to be able to clean it out easily when I got it home. I sure did fool myself.

I can't really tell from the pic but it appears that someone attempted to correct another blemish with mis-matched dye or leather paint. Some dealers have techs who are reponsible for leather repairs or they use independent people for this purpose. Some do a good job, some don't.
