Default 2006 GS300 Grey Leather Touch Up Paint

Hi,

Does anyone know of any touch up color that is close to the lexus grey? I tried to look at SEM's paint http://sem.ws/?home=1 . Yet I wasn't sure what color would be a close match. Or if there is another brand please let me know.

Thanks

There is a small circular area that looks darker. Almost like it soaked up oil from underneath look.

you're gonna mess it up even more.
leave it alone if it's just a small area.

or maybe try some leather conditioner and wipe the whole area.

Ofcourse there is, They can cut a big piece of leather and replace it with new (you will need a professional to do it and it is not cheap) Or you can just paint the leather (special leather paint that comes in a can of what I heard) but that is made just to sell the car as it does not last long. (again good luck finding someone who knows what they are doing these 2 steps mentioned are not DIY's). In this case if its not too bad and can be bearable I would leave it alone.

the leather is dyed, then clear coated, and a bunch of other stuff.

simply PAINTing it is not the proper way.

You could try Leatherique. I bought dyes from them for my '02 LS430 and it worked out pretty well. You will need to supply them with a 1"x1" swatch for them to match the dye. This may be hard to do as there is not much extra leather to be found in a Lexus.

I would try some leather cleaners/conditioners before anything

my grey leather also has marks that I can't seem to get out either. Is there a way to dye our seats black??

dyeing your seat black would require scuffing off the original finish to get to the original leather.

really too much trouble than it's worth.

if it really is a stain, you should try cleaning it before anything.

Can you take a pic of what your dark marks looks like? I want to see if it looks like mine. I tried cleaning it with strong stuff with no luck. I dunno what it is as it doesn't really look like the top lair was damaged because it has a cirular shape that looks like it soaked something up, but who knows.

Here is what mine looks like. It is about 1.5" in diameter.

An upholsterer can replace that section of the seat (cost would be about $350). But that's a last option. Put some Meguires conditioner (not the paste but the liquid leather cleaner/conditioner) on the area, Rub it in gently and then let it sit a couple hours (maybe overnight). Next day wipe away and...
