So why did the knee airbag deploy?

When suing there must be a monetary value that you are suing for. So lets say you are not suing for medical bills. Then what would you be suing for? Pain and suffering, I believe that the average you can ask for that is 1/3 of your total medical bills, and once again your own insurance would cover that. So once again what exactly would you be suing toyota/lexus for? There has to be a realistic monetary value to any lawsuit. There would be nothing else you could sue them for.
