Default Need Help. Buying a 2006 GS300 with 60k

I'm thinking about buying a 2006 GS300 with 60k. Price is at 23k. Since this is the first year of this body style is there anything I need to worry about? For example, common issues/problems, recalls? Thanks!

The price is a bit high for a 2006 with the miles. 21-22k is good.

The price is high and I would also shoot for 20-22K, there where no major issues with the GS 300 just the power! and the older navigation. Its a solid car though, with no major recalls as the newer engine.

My 2006 GS300 AWD is still running like the day she left the dealership. 75,000 miles on it. Runs just as good as my 2010 GS350 RWD, but with less power. Personally, I don't care about the power difference, as the GS300 is fast enough as it is.

But, if I were to advise you I'd say go for a 2007 GS350 if you can afford it. The payments really wouldn't be *that* much higher if you are financing it. Reason being, it has the newer navigation and high def screen along with more horsepower.

Bottom line, if you are set on a GS300, go for it. You won't be disappointed. If you plan on lowering the car, stay away from the AWD model and get the RWD.

Thanks guys for all the info. At first I wanted a 2006 IS350. But after reading about all the recalls and troubles I think I'll stick with the GS.

Im in the market of buying a gs too, from what i researched it's rare to find a 07 gs350 for a good price where im at(FL), so im looking at a 06 gs300 that i may possibly buy soon. The price is very reasonable.

BTW what types of recalls and issues does the is350 has? i was looking into them also

Far as I know, the IS350 has the same problems/recalls in general as the GS350. It's the same engine. Interior is also "cheaper" in general. Beware of the IS trunk it's even smaller than the GS which is small enough as it is.
