Im new to this forum since I just purchased a 2006 GS300 a couple of weeks ago.
I went a week without issue which was nice, and then the VSC indicator popped up a couple of days ago.
Now i read a bunch of posts about the main problem is likely a faulty gas cap which i believe mine is. The car has 78K on it and while it is in immaculate condition. I have the feeling the gas cap o ring hasnt been replaced before because i can turn it less than a quarter of a turn and its already off.
So I was curious to those this has happened to: Did you replace just the O ring or the whole cap and if just the o ring... how hard was it to remove and replace? since its new to me Im treating this car like im wearing white gloves and dont want to screw anything up.
Any help is appreciated!

didnt need directions about the gas cap. was gonna just replace the o ring and try not to break the plastic in the process.
anyways i just bought a whole new cap and it actually makes a seal unlike the previous one. the code was still there so I decided not to wait for however many cycles it wouldve taken for the code to clear. (i went 6 cycles and it was still there) so I just popped the battery off and reset it. codes no longer there but now all the electronics are reset. I reset the window to one touch on the drivers side but none of the other windows are responding AT ALL.
anyone had that problem after disconnecting the battery?
