Default Is my car totalled?

I got into a pretty bad head on with a pole and a building real early yesterday morning. 3 airbags went off (steering wheel, and 2 on the passenger side), and the whole front end is trashed, and the passenger side door area too. Its an 07 GS350, does this look like enough damage to total it out or be fixed?

With out really looking at it in person I would say 15 to 20k to fix that. And that would be using used parts how many miles on the car? The less miles the more likely they are to fix it. Your ok I hope that suck it happen

Ya, we are ok for the most part, the soreness is starting to kick in right now though.

It has 53K miles on it. Im gonna go get some stuff out of it and see it more today, I guess Ill get a better look at it when I see it in person. I was more worried about my friend than my car at the time. And Im pretty sure out here the ins company has to use new parts to replace everything, so that should effect the pricing?

So glad you and your passenger are okay!

Sorry for you lost bro, I just wrecked my 11 GS350 last week, and I'm waiting on the insurance company to let me know. My initial estimate without stripping the car down is $32K https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...aftermath.html

Make sure you get to a doctor to make sure everything is okay. I'm going to be in physical therapy for three months, but glad I went to the doctor because I am going to get some things fixed in my back and neck that I would've never known were messed up.

Hope it all works out for you!

Seen Lexus vehicles with way less damage considered totalled.

you should still get checked out even if you don't think anything is broken, because you could have a mild concussion and not no it.

You and I are in the same boat. Even if they're able to fix everything on my car, I don't want it back knowing that it took all that damage.

I suggest you still get checked out, because you never know what's going on, inside of your body.

I'm can't tell you how much more relieved I am that I got checked out even though I was just like you and a soar for the few days following the accident.

U murderer, you killed a pole. What did that pole do to U?

Better drive slow next time. I almost rear ended the car in front of me today. Light just turn green, everyone start to move, all 3 lanes start to move. And no reason at all the guy in the front slam on the brake. Luckily I was in a cruising mood so I step on the gas pretty slow, I slam on the brake too.

My Dad recently had an accident (not a Lexus but that's not the point) where the airbags went off, and his car was totaled. The dealer told us that when the airbags go off the insurance company almost always totals the car because the cost of replacing them is too high.
