Ha, I feel your pain! I've been debating ordering these for a while, and I'm thinking of pulling the trigger this week too.

Lucky for me my car came stock with the black pearl emblem package. The bad thing is that the front emblem is chipped up from rocks. It looks like the stock black pearl is nothing more than painted chrome emblems, something you could do easily with hobby paint. If I was looking for the black chrome, why not spend $5 and buy some paint and do it yourself??

Recieved my black pearl emblems today. There is slight imperfections in Both "L" Logos. There is a slight rainbow if you look at the emblems closely. One is worst than the other. Going to see if Sewell will exchange. I am bummed out. I was waiting for these emblems. Anyone else experience the same thing or similar?

i can't decide between doing black pearl or painting them a flint mica color to match the color of the car as i am worried that black on gray will look weird......what do you guys think? this is the only color car that i'm not sure would work with the black pearl as i think it looks great on every other color.
not trying to hijack the thread just curious what people's thoughts are on black pearl vs body colored emblems on the flint mica GS.

also does anyone have good experiences with a paint place in the bay area?

I plasti dipped my emblems today and I think they came out great. Its easily reversible and It looks great on MY white GS350 AWD

 

You can actually purchase black chrome paint and have a body shop paint and install it for you. That is what I did with my Rx. The paint isn't cheap though, for 1 quart cost me almost $400 dollars with shipping and tax.

But I had all my emblems, wheels, grille and eyelids painted.
