Got to detail the car, and 4 hours later...........
What can I say, got the car fully detailed outside, wax, clay, polish etc etc. It sucked that when I picked up the car it started raining on top of all that, 4 hours later driving on the highway behind a toyota corola, notice a big black piece fly's out under neat the car and hits my car. We we're going about 50mph.

Tried locating the sensor from the hood area and underneath the bumper with no luck. I quickly took out my HOLY CRAP bottle (meguiars scratch x) and took all of the black stuff off. There is still noticable scracthes in the paint that won't be possible to remove. That piece took of a rock chip size paint off my hood which I quickly touched up painted it. Could of been worse, but it still kind of sucks that the rain ruined my shine and I had a piece of plastic hit my car.
Later on when I had more time, I took off the fender liner, noticed my parking sensor hanging. Looked around it, looks to me like nothing was broken at all. No damage no new scratches nothing on it. From the hard impact it just came of it clips. I slid it back into place without a problem and its working fine.

damn sucks..could have been worst though..people talked about cardboard messing up their front really bad. For a plastic piece to hit it and you still were able to get clean it up a bit is lucky.

Sorry to hear that. Same thing happened to my gs a while back but in my case a truck next lane ran over a large sheet metal and it hit top of my passenger fender, a-pillar, and windshield. I had to claim since it wasn't something that could be buffed out.

Good that you're OK and you did a great clean-up!
I'm not a superstitious fellow, but I have a policy that after I perform a heavy detail on my car, I don't drive it until the next day. If there is ever a time when Murphy's Law would apply, its after you detail your car.

Thanks for all the great comments, i am happy it wasn't piece of metal going through my windshied as that is safety concern.
Why would i tail it down? Not that he purposely threw out the plastic from his window. I wouldn't be suprised if he never knew that something flew out of the his car.

I have this problem as well I'm scheduled to have a new bumper with lip and front fenders modded further and resprayed this weekend Im going to be nervous everytime I drive, every little bouncing rock or piece of debris in the road is going to just get plowed by my new lip and bumper.
