I believe the trans would have to have a low pressure vacuum in order to get most fluid out properly. and then fill until level with proper indicator mark.
im at 73k miles on a 07, i havent done anything differential oil change or sparks plugs. my brakes looks kind of dirty but i been wanting to do maintaince on it too. i feel like my transmission is slipping..
they also said 90-100k miles for differential for gs's, if i remember same goes with spark plugs?
My Maintenance Schedule booklet says "Replace automatic transmission fluid every 72 months/96,000 km" (which is 60K miles). This is under section "Additional Service Requirements". I have an 07 GS.
Yes, this is standard for the Canadian service schedule. Why it's different compared to the US one that doesn't have any replacement schedule at all is a total mystery as much of the climate is the same throughout the northern half of the US.
I think Toyota charged me all of 60 odd dollars to drain and fill. I'm sure it was cheap partially because when you drain it only a small amount actually gets put back in.
I did mine early and will continue to do it every couple of years because it's cheap and certainly can't hurt.
