I was one of the first person to get the Invidia midpipe installed on the 3GS and it's not raspy the whole way through. It only gets a little raspy around the 4.5k RPM mark, and that's being nitpicky. It actually opened up the sound a lot, giving it a more throaty and aggressive sound compared to just the Tanabe Medalion by itself. Here's a video of me going through a tunnel...the sound is PHENOMENAL I must say. Don't regret my purchase a single bit!

Exactly, manufacturers will never commit unless they test fit one. And since they haven't, they will never say NO it will not fit the AWD. They will say "for RWD only".
I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the mid pipes although no one mentioned that it will fit the V8 GS460. Turns out they were right, however, the modifications needed were minimal. Any good exhaust shop can do it, took 10 minutes.

Also, check out my older thread here. There are pictures of the modifications required to fit the Invidia Mid Pipes onto a GS460.

Just to reconfirm, I have an AWD lexus GS 300, similar of course with the GS350 midpipes. Therefore NO NO NO NO the RWD which is the only application that Invidia offers will not fit the AWD. Only the passenger side fits out of the box. The AWD has an additional mount or space needed of course for the front differential shafts that is the culprit to prevent direct fit. Custom modification is necessary. Its not too bad though. Whats required is to cut the mid pipe left section (driver side) in a few places and just extend and make it fit around the little bend. Can be done on the car by a good muffler shop. I currently have the invidia midpipes and Topspeed axleback on my Canadian AWD lexus GS. Sounds great. Yes its a bit louder at start up but its a sweet sound. The Topspeed sounded way too quiet. Coming from an S2000, I love the lexus however i need to feel and hear my car. LOL Not 60 years old yet! LOL.
However,
the problem I am having is, I recently got VSC Check engine light which is common with any malfunction on the LEXUS. Of course it triggers the common associated VSC code and turns of the Vehicle Stability Control, as a default action. This sucks ballz on the AWD hahah! Anyone had this issue? I suspect its just my bad luck that my 2006 front catalytic converters gave in and are triggering the code. We scanned my code and it scans as " inefficient cats" At almost $600 Canadian per side as these are exhaust manifold cats, I am not really looking forward to dishing out 1200 + labour. Yikes!
Ideas?
