Hello guys, I just pick up my GS350 08". basiccaly what I need is to watch Video on the Navi, so which is the best way to do it that doesn't need a lots of modification and ofc. $$$$ Lolz...

oh and can you please use simple english, because I have read some of the other thread about it but most of they used some tech term that I have no clue what they talking about. =)...

you can do the wire hack but i believe it doesnt bypass the time limit. for example if you do the wire hack (ie cut and splice wires behind the unit), you'll have access to the navi and video while in motion but i believe its only limited for 45 seconds. if you buy a plug and play kit like beat sonic or prestigious society, you'll have unlimited time.

keep in mind you need to have ML to have the factory dvd player.

Thanks for the reply IXI187IXI, but what's a ML? so I need to have that plug and play kit, and also whatever that ML is to play DVD on the screen right? what about just the plug for Ipad/iphone video???

if you want to play off iphone, you need integration kits. vaistech makes fantastic ones

if you have ML like Henry mentioned which stands for Mark Levinson, then you have the factory dvd player and can play dvds on the screen. If you do not have ML then you would need to get an ipod integration kit like Henry also mentioned. Vaistech is one of the best out there. A little pricey but worth the money. You would have to get one that supports video (Henry is good at which kit works best) so you can then play videos through the screen.

To tell if you have ML or not, look at the bottom right hand side of the unit. You should see this if you have ML

I'm so happy now. yes I do have ML Package....so now I just need a kit to bypass it to make it watchable while driving right?

Yes, if you do have the Mark Levinson system in your car, you just need to get what is called a Nav/Bluetooth Hack. This will allow you to make your car think that it is in park when in actuality, it is being driven.

You can do a simple search for the phrase "nav hack" and should get many hits

correct, you either do the wire cutting hack, or you can get the override kit

Dear Tildayven,

If all you want is to override the DVD lockout so that you can watch DVD while driving we have a great solution for you. Our Beat-Sonic TVK-32 will allow just that and you don't have to deal with switching the override on/off as the override will not affect any other factory controls. Just install and switch the module to "TV" mode and tuck away the switch.
