Oil change after warranty expired
I just bought my 06 gs a month ago and it is coming up on the oil change time and i noticed that the previous owner got the oil changed from the dealership because of the sticker on the windshield.
i was wondering do those of you with expired warranties still go to the dealership or do you go with a local shop?
any advantages to sticking with the dealer?
and do yall use synthetic, blend, or regular old oil?

You need to see why type of oil was previously used in the GS if possible, look at the dealer records. If they don't have it, you can use pretty much anything without much of a hassle.
Many people insist on the dealers doing the oil changes. You can bring your own oil and have them do the labor. You can DIY and do it yourself (I have its pretty easy) as there are great threads with directions on how to do it. Some take it to a Toyota dealer.
