it def. looks like a 07 model.

what's the 10th digit in your VIN number? that number indicates the model year. 7 or 9?

My guess is that the car wasn't sold until 09 and for some reason DMV made a mistake when it was first registered in 09.

also if you have a copy of the carfax look for the first event in "detailed history" section. First event should be something like "Vehicle manufactured and shipped to XXX" or "Pre-delivery inspection completed " and see what date it was performed. If it was in 07, yeah your car is 07 for sure and if it was in 09, I don't know what is going on there...

No question ... you have a 2007.

If this was sold to you as a 2009, you were defrauded ... intentionally or otherwise. I'd give the dealer the benefit of the doubt that they made a mistake, and let him make it right. If he doesn't, you seem to have a pretty solid fraud case.

Manufacture date was 05/09 and the 10th digit is 9. So, if I am deducing correctly here this was an 07 that came from Lexus/Toyota as an 09? How in the hell does that happen?

Or maybe the previous owner swapped everything out with a 07 owner + cash. I've seen people doing that before trading in their cars to make some extra $$ but swapping out everything including interior pieces sound very unrealistic to me.

Do all the buttons and features work on the dash? I think the wiring is a bit different depends on years so I don't think it will be plug and play.

Everything, except the mirrors, work great. The mirrors never stay in position.

How about an AUX plug, do you have it in your center console? Also the moonroof control area should look different depends on the model year. Can you take a photo of it?

I feel really bad for you. You should try contacting the dealer you bought the car from and see what they are willing to do, but IMO if it wasn't the dealer who swapped out all the parts, they wouldn't have known this problem either (unless they are Lexus dealership) and I don't know if they will take the responsibility.

No Aux, not sure the difference on the sunroof. THis had to come from Toyota/Lexus this way so I am going to try that route through the local dealer and see where I get. I have a feeling I will need to secure representation...

I doubt the car came out of the factory like this but I wish you the best luck. Make sure to keep us updated with this.

Holy crap, something is really wrong here u have a 2006-2007 model car. You don't even have aux which came on the 2008+. That would be almost impossible to swap. You gotta call lexus Customer service. Does you're seat have this Liquid Graphite color trim on the seats or is it flat rubbery feeling?

Check this PERFECT THREAD, comparison between 2007 and 2008 model I thought it would of been sticky but its not. It included direct comparison picture between the two. Lets us know what exactly you have on you're car that is from an 2008+ model if any. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...fferences.html
