Low oil indicator - using synthetic 5w30

It's really interesting how these car can still be passing emission testing burning that much oil.
My dad had an old beater Chevy Truck that burned oil and smoked...never came close to passing emissions but it didn't burn as much oil as these engines seem to do in a 6 month period.

Oil Consumption
don’t feel bad I have a 2011 GS 350 with approximately 85,000 miles and I have the same issue just buy a 5 quart container off Amazon for about 20 dollars and keep it pushing. It’s not burning the oil it’s using the oil to lubricate the cylinder walls. Yes it is a little disturbing but it is what it is hang in there if that’s your only issue I wouldn’t sweat it. You will probably buy A 5 quart container every three months when I go on Amazon to buy it everyone who buys that oil has the same buying pattern every three months is regular for every car🤷🏽♂️

If you do not see an improvement! You can try pouring seafoam directly onto of the pistons, through the spark plug holes and letting that sit over night, and then crank the engine over without the plugs to remove the seafoam. If that doesnt cure it, then time to remove the pistons and buy new rings/gaskets etc.
Majority of oil issues with the 3GS are from allowing oil changes past 3,000 miles.

Its more likely due to you running your oil at 5,000 miles or more. Start changing your oil at every 3,000 miles, you also need to unclog your pistons oil control rings as more likely there all gummed up. Before your next oil change, buy BG moa and epr. Run this cleaner before the oil change and add the additive to the new oil.

Bg moa
I just used MOA and BG oil treatment, The noise got a lil quieter and there is an increase of power, it’s still early but I’m happy with the change,I will do it ever 3rd oil change, also I change my oil every 3000k to prevent sludge build up.thanks for the advice

Any update? I've got an 07 GS350 with the same issue, added Seafoam to the oil but didn't help afaik

also use liquid Molly valve cleaner and injector cleaner, what’s happening is you have so much carbon buildup on the valves you’re getting blow by. So basically all the oil’s going to the PCV valve and to the cats and out the exhaust eventually is gonna ruin your catalytic converter.
