Bought my 2007 GS450h with 32k for $26k out the door.. i picked at every detail, tint was scratch, bumper had bottom scraps.. (these were all pretty minor, but the trick is to make it major!!) haha and a small like maybe dime size cut on the rear seat from a baby seat.. They were asking $32,510 for it.. but walked in acting like you don't want it.. and you can care less.. that's the real deal.. im pretty sure they didn't make one dime off of me.. maybe for a uci (used car inspection) of like 500 bucks.. but that's the bill you have to pay anyways..

But took the car home.. super detailed it in and out.. (popped some interior panels and clean in between the cracks~ claybar, buff the whole car, took the wheels off and clean in and out of the wheel and brakes.)

Here is the funny part of my story... so i drive to a lexus dealership about 2 weeks after picking up the car, to pick up a f-sport air filter and oil filter from my buddy that works there.. and the sales manager sees my GS in the parking lot and offers to give me $35K for a trade it. hahahahha!!! of course i declined.. but it's the thought that counts!!

Just a slight correction to your facts. . . .this car carries a sticker slightly under $63K (and comes basically loaded) when purchased new. Do a quick search on cars or autotrader and see what you find. You may see one or two for less that $47K, but not with less than 10K on the odometer. I think I made out okay.

2008 GS350 fully loaded $24k out the door. Go in at the last day of the month which ends the quarter and write them a check for $4-5k below what they are asking. Don't accept ANY counter offers regardless of how reasonable they are, then after they tell you there's no way they can sell you the car tell them you are going to check out some Acuras down the road...works every time!

Thanks guys, these are some very helpful information. I'm looking to drive to CA to pick up a car if I do buy because there's more option there and it seems like i'll be able to get more of a deal. So there's a 2008 white GS350 loaded with 40k and the dealership is asking 32k for it, how much should I be offering? 27-28k out the door?

Love a new car. Just love a pre-owned one better that someone else bought, took good care of, and best of all took the initial depreciation hit!

Wanted to pick up a 09 gs350 today base model, with 27k miles. Have nav w/ back up camera, No parking sensor, no wood steering wheel and no ML. The car is very taken care of. Clean in/out!
Sticker price was 40k and some change. Internet pricing was 37k+ttl, I offer 35k+ttl. He came back with 36k for cpo. 35200 w/out cpo. +ttl

Thought I would ask for some advice here. Thanks in Advance! What do you guys think?
