Default just did the 60k service but used different plugs??!

i didnt go to toyota to get the parts. i used the penzoil brake fluid, used red stuff brake pads, and autolite xtreme performance iridium. everything is fine, except the plugs. so far my car is only getting 16mpg, when i used to get around 20mpg. i also added seafoam to the gas but i dont think that affected it in a bad way.im going by what my dash says. cound it be that those denzo plugs are much better? my problem is i called the local dealer and they said 22.00 a plug . i never heard of plugs costing that much. ive also had high performance engines and never paid 10.00 a plug!

It's a small cost over that many miles to get the proper parts if you ask me.

They are a lot cheaper online with Sewell, by the way.

The red stuff brake pads suck, I have them on my car right now, they are very dusty and leave a nasty residue on rotors which makes them warp. Now for the plugs that you have used, I am not sure why you would use aftermarket parts on the car. Filters and oil if fine but not stuff like plugs. Plugs improve gas mileage and performance of the engine. If you used to cheap bad plugs it can be the cause of you're bad MPG's. You can get spark plugs from sewellparts.com for $12.60 a piece with clublexus account discount. I suggest buying oem plugs and replacing them.

getting them a.s.a.p. car feels slower aswell. idk if its just in my head. but the ebc redstuff pads are fine so far. as far as the brake fluid,i didnt use the bleeder i just let each one bleed out into a container and added the new fluid till new fluid came out of each individual caliper as i applied the brakes. so far no dust or noise. i must admit though, ive changed many brakes before hondas, nissans, fords none were ever as easy to change as the ones on this car! if you can get the wheels off! you can change the brakes on this car. i thought i was doing something wrong lol. soon as i get my plugs ill feel like i saved a good amount of money doing this myself.

Good, as far as brakes, filters, tires, motor oil and rotors its fine to use aftermarket. But things like spark plugs and sensors etc etc I stick only with oem.
