Default 2010 GS350 AWD is this a good deal?

Hey guys, I'm new to the lexus world and I'm considering this car. I'm trying to find out if this is a good price and if it has the Mark Levinson because the salesman wasn't sure and I'm not seeing it written anywhere.

http://www.lcpo.com/cpo_podetails.ps...alerCode=61904

I was going to try and talk them down to 40k but what's your input (they couldn't tell me all the options so hopefully they'll be able to figure that out today, but other than what I could make it myself by tinkering is there any other options that this might have that you can tell or are there any options I should be on the lookout for?) I was considering older as well but supposidly electronics were fixed in the 2010 as well as the USB and ipod connector are in this one so I like that feature as well as faster HDD system. I have a time limit to move fast so I can get out of my vehicle BUT if this is a bad move I'm up for other options as it's not a MUST.

Thanks!

I'm coming from a Porsche Turbo and trying to lower my payments some so I can save a bit more to get a bigger house and help the female with some extra bills until she finishes school. I believe it was another 5k for a new one which is going to be another 8k or so after taxes. I didn't see much of a difference between the 2010 and the 2012 .

The only main difference I was hearing of the 08' and 10 was the electronics and the ipod feature.

Thanks for the help, I look forward to more insight.

First of all, a good salesperson would be able to tell you what options the vehicle has to offer. Or at least they would have found out the info and called you back immediately. You are a potential customer!

Personally, I think the price is a little high. The certification tag is probably the reason. Depending on how much you drive, certification for a car less than two years old is a waste of funds in my opinion. I'd try to talk them way down to get rid of the certification premium attached to the price. Good luck!

What in your opinion would be a reasonable price?

Were any thoughts about "Must have" features that I might want to check into? I'm def. asking again when I go up there about the ML package and if it has it. I know when I turned the radio to 62 max it was very clear, I enjoy having a very clear radio now so I'd like to have that package.

They only had the IS250 so I'm going to see if they got in a 350 to check out also while I'm there just to get a idea of that.

I'm calling up there now and letting him know to have a list of EVERYTHING in the car once I get there as well.

THANKS

When you go back, just sit in the car and look for the Mark Levinson trademark right below the CD player.

Hard to say what a good deal is. It is really what you are willing to pay. You just need to make sure what you expect to see in/on the car as related to what is on paper and being presented to you is what you get. If the car has the ML stereo, it can be easily identified by looking at the stereo where you should see the markings (see previous post). The dealership should be able to pull a sheet which lists what the specs are, including options, based on the VIN. I'd start with the $40K number and see what that gets you. You never know. Just looking at cars.com for instance, I see low to mid $40's. Not knowing what options those cars have or the location. All of which will play a part in the price you will pay.

Just make your one best offer and stand your ground! I always say 'walk if they balk, and they'll call you when they are ready to talk'!

I'll look for that again thanks.

I'll try to keep researching a good price to stay under. And while I'm there they had a all black 2009 gs460h I believe the model is so I'm going to inquire about that as well, even though they said 2010 has the ipod hookup they SHOULD have a adapter for the 09 hybrid as well.

2010+ has Gen 6 Navigation with the appropriate Apple hookups and BT streaming. Not saying an adapter can't be installed into the 2009, just saying 2010+ is factory installed.

Default 2010 AWD GS350 w/Nav Lux Package & Standard Audio

I paid $42,790 for my NEW Matador Mica Red GS 350 last October.
MSRP was $50,570. It's the end of the year, and end of the 3G model so I'd go new 2011 if you want one now. You'll get the best deal as the next Gen will not get discounted, much if any, for the first year.

Good Luck!!

Dave so you have the 10 speakers vs. the 15? Were you happy with it? It seamed whatever was in this car was very clear...Hmmm so I'm trying to figure out how the one I'm looking at is more expensive then the one HRDAVE got. I'll just grab the 2011 (even though I'm not sure of the major differences between that and the 2010) since that could be cheaper. My apr on used would be 3.5% and new 2.99% so shouldn't be too crazy.

Thanks for the tip, I'll play the end of the year off of them when talking price.

http://www.lcpo.com/cpo_pocompare.ps...343,1133145143

Was searching the CPO to and found these other two, to go with the 3rd one which is the main one I was talking about, input on these??

I inquired about a 2011 350awd and they were talking $55k at Annapolis so I'll be trucking over to Rockville or Owings Mills possibly unless things work out and it has the ML package. I supposed to hear from the girl tomorrow morning on a full list of the vehicles options and about 2010 differences and if they can just pop something in for the iPod. I'll have to remind myself to ask her about the "better electronics" . I'm now trying to research incase the 2010 doesn't have ML if that's a deal breaker and to go with a 2009 that has it for sure or if it's fine without it and to stick with the 2010 if it doesn't have it.
