So I'm looking for some opinions. I've come to the point where I need to purchase new tires. It's October, and winter is soon around the corner. Living in Toronto, Canada I have a set of dedicated winter tires, but I'm also going to need to purchase new radials once winter is over. There are a number of tire chains that currently have promos going on for all season and summer tires, which is making me consider to purchase them now and put them away until next year. The thing is, I can't decide if I want to go the all season route, or summer tire route.
If I go all seasons, I was leaning towards the Conti DSW's. If I go the summer route, I was thinking about the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's. Other opinions are welcomed.
Now my major 'wants' are a tire that's first and foremost quiet, has good durability (last long), and gives me some performance. I also would like to be economical about the matter and stay between 600-750 for the tires. My car is an everyday driver, and is rarely driven aggressively.
As stated, looking for some opinions on if I should go all season or summer and which tires (other recommendations warranted).
Thanks!

I'm not familiar with either of those tires, but I would always recommend getting summer if you own winter. Nothing can match the performance of the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. They really transform the car.

I switched to Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's from Pilot Sport A/S and regret it. Sure, they hold the road like glue, but they're incredibly noisy under hard braking and feel like slicks on snow (not that we get a lot where I live). I had no issues with the Sport A/S tires.

As you have winter tires, I'd look for summer tires. They are usually the quietest of all that is available.
Consider Kumhos. Less expensive of most others yet quality is nearly on par with tires costing 2x or 3x as much. Stay away from (OEM) Yokohama. Decent tire but tread life is terrible.

I have been told the Cooper Zeon RS3-A is good for an all season tire. Comes highly recommended by Consumer Reports here in the US. I think they also make a summer version RS3-S as well. I have seen a set of four online for around $600 US plus shipping.

No, that's wrong. Read this Edmunds test: http://www.insideline.com/features/t...vs-summer.html
Summer tires were best in the wet. In fact, all-seasons were even worse than snow tires in the wet!

Summer tires AND winter tires.
I don't understand why anyone uses all season tires in Canada, unless they can't afford it, but you are driving a new-ish Lexus you should put the right tires on it.

Alright - so after some consideration to the feedback, I think that summer would be the way to go since I already own a dedicated set of winters. What are the top 3 recommendations for summer tires. Keep in mind that my main asks are a long lasting in terms of mileage, and quiet on the road. I would prefer not to pay over a grand, but realize that may be something that I can't avoid.
Once again, suggestions?

I have the Michelin PSS and I won't drive on anything else.
