I noticed you had a can of Sea Foam. What's your experience with it? Any noticeable change after using it? Do you just add it to a full tank of gas, or do you also add it to the crankcase/vacuum line?

I'm approaching 70k miles on my '09 GS 350 and I'm interested in hearing if you can tell me if there's anything I should look out for now the the mileage is getting high.

I avg about 25K a year. Our 08 Camry has 110K and my old BMW was over 200K

Nice to hear that the GS holds up well under heavy use.

Man I love your car. I was impressed with your acurazine threads as well and I'm selling my TL for a gs now. I just can't take the harsh ride anymore. The hardest decision I'm having right ow is if I should go ahead and accept the fact that I won't be able to get the black interior with the starfire pearl with all the options. I like silver but yours is perfect and persuading me! Thanks for keeping us all up to date with how she's holding up with all the miles

Thanks guys!

I have hit 151,000 miles and to date, she is a keeper with no issues. I will update my other maintenance thread soon with what I have done at the 150k mark.

Mike with the TL, you will love the GS. This car is a much smoother ride than the TL ever was in every way. Jump on it!

To date, my car is back to stock form with the 08-11 GS five spoke fan blade wheels. I replaced the struts with oem ones and went back to the stock height. The ride is smooth again and I am ok with function over form. The look was nice but I drive to much to not have that Lexus quality ride mile after mile.

My MRR HR2 wheels are on the Black Market section for sale if anyone is interested. Here is the link:

Here are a few pictures of the car around the South East:

Thanks for checking out this thread guys. I will be posting up on my other threads by next week when I have time. Take care!

Dude, great job. I have a white '09 GS350 AWD approaching 100k miles and I also drive a lot (approx 40k miles/yr). I've used your posts to carry out all the maintenance myself. Thanks for the updates and keep them coming.

Have you had any problems with squeaks/rattles developing? I also read you use Sea Foam. I've never used it yet, but am thinking about using it at my next oil change. Have you noticed any improvement in idling/performance/ gas mileage?

The tablet gooseneck setup in your GS is friggin beautiful. Can you talk a little more about how you hardwired the audio and power cables? I'm really interested in following your lead one that one.

Have you had any problems with exhaust soot marring the paint near the mufflers? I have the same paint color as you, and the area around the mufflers has become stained. I've tried washing repeatedly but no luck. Has it been an issue for you?

Thanks again.

Chris

Have you tried clay barring the area that's stained?
