realistically you should have no issues when switching to a different brand of spark plug. if you plan on doing this, make sure the spark plug was made for you specific vehicle. just because the parts guy at the counter gave u some plugs after checking his computer, it doesn't mean they are right. after you remove a plug, put it up next to the new one and make sure the distance between the top of the threaded piece and the electrode at the bottom are EXACTLY the same. the number of prongs should be at least the same as the original if not more. i have replaced the plugs in my old acura with E3 diamond fire plugs and i believe they worked great with no issues at all. a good thing to do when reinstalling plugs is to put a small amount of anti-sieze on the threaded surface and put a very small amount of dielectric silicone on the inside of the coil to ensure easy reinstallation and removal. do not get anti-sieze on the electrode, it will cause a misfire if u do.

I always recommend sticking with oem plugs, especially on stock engines.

Toptech offered good advice with the anti-sieze and silicone recommendation!

no non-oem plugs have three prongs like the oem ones for this car. unless maybe the ones your talking about or something more expensive than stock! i went with the best ones from autozone and they only had one prong. they sucked! in a week my car said i was getting only 16 m.p.g. i ordered oem from sewell and am back to normal. stick to stock. theyre actualy really good compared to other ones.
