Clear Coat Caliper Paint?
I painted my calipers about 6 months ago using G2 Blue. The result came out perfect, but I recently wanted to go ahead and put on lexus decals. Worrying about pealing, I ordered VHT Clear Coat (spray) to cover the area where decals are applied.
After applying decals I felt pretty confident that they were on there pretty well and would not peal, but I went ahead and applied the clear coat anyways (since I bought it already). I would NOT recommend using it at all. The entire area I cover with clear coat is completely dull now with NO GLOSS at all. I am very unhappy with the result after clear coat, however, it's not all that noticeable unless you are looking for it so I'll live.
How could the high gloss of G2 look so good, and a clear coat spray completely ruin and dull it out? You would think the spray would be "high gloss" as well.

I'll post pics when I can.
VHT only makes a 'gloss clear' no matte or satin clear.
