ML problem - no cd audio but radio works *update*
i have an 06 gs430, having a problem with the sound
i was driving last week and heard a pop/crackle and the sound went out, it came back on seconds later... after that it was fine, i didnt drive my car for about a week cuz it was in the bodyshop. When i jumped in my car today i noticed the cd player wasn't working, i can hear it spinning, i can add/remove all cds, and i can switch tracks and see the time counting up
the radio works fine, but it seems theres no subwoofer working when its playing the radio..
im going to check the fuses tomorrow, anyone have any suggestions???????

is there a way I can reset the audio system, or maybe just reset the amp???
if i pull the audio fuses out for a few minutes, will i have any problems in terms of entering a code?
i dont have the security code for my head unit

so i took it all apart, made sure all wires were secure, hooked it back up and it didnt work
frustrated i lightly smacked the side of my console (near the right radio tune ****) and it started working!!
it stopped again a little later, and i smacked it again, it started working
any ideas??
oh ps, when it stops working, the radio and everything works fine, just the cd audio effs up, i can switch tracks, forward, reverse, switch cds no problem, just no sound

I was originally thinking that too, but I dont suspect its the cd player due to the fact that everything works.... meaning, i can switch tracks, fwd, reverse, just the sound is a problem
does anyone know which wire on the harness is for the actual cd audio output?

im pretty much having the same problem as the below post:
http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...howtopic=66077
im going to try to remove the head unit again and disconnect everything out and one by one, push all the wires into the harness properly
does anyone know if I will be promped for a security code if i do this?
i called lexus and the guy didnt really seem to know, he said it likely wouldnt ask me if i unplugged the head unit for a period of time
