For those who installed a midpipe, I got questions for you
I was under the impression that this would be a simple plug and play besides the O2 sensors. After reading threads on the 2IS forum, it was recommended to just take it to a shop rather than DIY, so i took it to my friend's brother's shop.
Once on the lift, he saw the 2 rear O2 sensors are stuck on the stock midpipe, so he recommended I get new ones for the invidia midpipe. He also recommended I get 2 bosal gaskets for connecting the midpipe to aftermarket exhaust. He then also recommended new gaskets for my top speed exhaust since they are crimped up and might cause possible leaks. (I do not know why he needs to disassemble the exhaust, just to install the midpipe..that one is a headscratcher to me.)
I find out O2 sensors are 200 a piece..ouch! SO what i was once thinking was a DIY became a $120 install + price of midpipe, which now seems to be a $120 install + ~450 parts + price of midpipe, FML
Does anyone have any alternative solutions? Does anyone know where to get oem or denzo O2 sensors for cheaper than $200 a piece? And does this new aftermarket exhaust really need new gaskets? (I thought only the stock midpipe would be removed, I don't know why they would have to take apart the aftermarket exhaust just to install the midpipe)
Any help would be great guys, thanks as usual!

yeh i was questioning a lot of what he was telling me. He didn't say the o2 was rusted, just that it was stuck and wouldn't move a bit, thinking he would ruin the threads inside, mess it up, and throw an error code.
So you are telling me I could throw this mid pipe on without any of those items he said? Everything that was stock on the car is still on except the catback exhaust.

Ok so im goin to install myself tomorrow. If this install is the same difficulty as installing the exhaust, i think ill be fine. But just incase, does anyone know of a DIY. I couldn't find one in 3gs n 2is sections.

Apparently, these mid-pipes do not fit on an AWD 3GS. Apparently.

how reputable are those guys? I see they got 2 locations, 1 in queens n 1 in long island. Does anyone know of reputable exhaust shops in NYC/northern NJ/southern NY area?
