Default Good deal on this GS?

What do you guys think about this GS? Seems like a good price, with warranty still available. Minor accident in carfax. Called and seem the car was hit in the parking lot. Shows body moldings were replaced by Lexus dealership. Might go check it out today. Any help is appreciated

If you can live with a hit car then it seems like a good deal. Car has very low miles which is great but the factory warranty is only 48 months so you wont have it for much.

Best of luck

Decent price. My only question would be the minor accident. How can you have a minor accident and all that was replaced were the moldings? Hmmm. Take a very close look at that ride.

Personally, I would only consider a car which has been in an accident if it were certified by the manufacturer.

My IS250 I just traded in to my local Lexus dealership for my GS was in a "Minor" accident. My daughter was backing it up at night and did not see the grand prix parked on the side of the road, and bashed the passenger door in on the gran Prix. Only put a scratch and 1 chip on the rear bumper of my Lexus but had to call it in to insurance for their car. Lexus was not concerned with it at all. Maybe that car was in a situation like mine?

Good point FH212. In the case you mentioned, it was minor to the Lexus (mostly cosmetic), but not the Pontiac (body work). So again, you have to do your homework. OP needs to make sure that Lexus was on the good side of a minor accident!

well, it was replaced by Lexus as seen in the carfax, and it seems like they reported the carfax so it shouldnt be serious? Regardless I will check out the car.

Awesome ODO reading. I would bet you have some wiggle room with that price due to the accident.

Side note- Why is it people rarely take pics on the heated seats, and driving mode controls? Outside of the Nav, that control panel explains what pkg the car has.

From the pics it looks clean on the inside and the mileage is great, especially for California. However, after looking in more detail at the listing, I think the molding replacement and the accident are two seperate events. Looks like you need to look at the quality of the repairs. The CARFAX says that the vehicle hit another car. So there had to be repairs on one of the corners of the car. That's probably where you will need to spend the most attention. IMO . . . . if it looks good to your eye, you should seek a second opinion from a reputable repair shop.
