Default Tinted Headlights?

So I'm toying with the idea of tinting/smoking my headlights. Has anyone pictures of tinted headlights with 6000k HIDs? I'm thinking a light smoke just to offset all the chrome in the headlight enclosure, but want to make sure that it doesn't reduce any visable light (my 6000k's are dim enough as is).

If not the entire headlight, how does everyone feel about the parking light being tinted only, or will it look weird at night?

Thoughts?

I've done it in my previous car with 8K bulbs....long story short, i took them off after a month because of the harassment i would get from the NYPD. Light output wise, it wont be too bad as long as there are street lights

Gotcha, so doesn't make all that much difference as far as light is concerned. Did you do both the headlight and parking/highbeam housing? Any pics?

Ghetto imo, go the full nine yards and get custom black housing.

I took the street light statement differently I guess.
I have enough problem seeing at night without putting something over my lights.
Suppose it depends how much you drive at night.

I've searched high and low for those and couldn't find them anywhere. A little help?

tinting it will reduce light output. depending on how much you use will determine how much it effects the output

Yeah, I figured as much. With as dim as they are now, tinting them further isn't the best of ideas. I'll stick with the tail lights for now.

Didn't you hear him that he need street light? The light from the tinted headlight is not enough to light up the road. I don't understand why some people like to cripple their vehicle like this.

I wouldn't. Paint the housing black. I've found a couple of headlights for sale in junk yards if you don't want to use yours. Weirdly though they state the don't have afs. Guess this option wasnt as "standard" as I thought? It'll cost a couple hundred if you buy a used det but well worth it. Looks a lot better.
