Default Contact for adding an extended warranty on CPO

I searched through some threads and called a guy that worked at a toyota dealership already. He couldn't add a lexus warranty bcuz I was past the fac warranty. Just bought a cpo about three weeks ago and was considering adding an extended warranty on top of that if I can get a good deal on one. Does anyone have any personal experience or a contact? Thanks

I thought a CPO warranty could be extended. Folks here recommend mostly 2 people to get the best deal on an extended warranty. I spoke with Jerry Johnson [jerryj@MidwestSuperstore.com]
but my car was out of basic warranty and was not a CPO, so he couldn't help me.

Just to be clear: you bought a CPO Lexus from a Lexus dealer, right? Not just a car that was a CPO to the owner before you (which is my case) and we can't get Lexus warranties on those...

Yes I bought it as a cpo. And jerry johnson is exactly who I spoke with. He pulled up the in-service date and bcuz it was out of orig fac warranty he couldn't sell me a warranty. I did make it clear to him that it was a cpo that I just bought.

Yeah but you could have extended the CPO coverage up to I believe 6 Years 100,000. When you purchased the vehicle, if you just purchased it like 1 week ago you still have a chance to try to do it, but you need to go to the dealership you got it from. Hope this helped you.

Yes, that's correct. I just thought the prices were steep. I was hoping I could add the coverage for a lower price but its looking like it can only be done at the dealership.

Just curious guys, I'm about to buy a 2011 CPO GS that already has 1 yr 2 months on the in-service period - so its factory warranty will continue for about another 3 years - and its CPO warranty will go for 3 years beyond when I sign the papers....

My question is: Can I still buy the 'New Vehicle' extended service agreement (say platinum 8-yr) before the factory warranty expires, or does the fact that the car is sold as CPO preclude me from doing that? I'm really interested in keeping this car for a long time, and would really like to get coverage beyond the CPO extension that I can only buy when I purchase the car?

they do offer that, above your CPO warranty u can still get it extend warranty for another 2200 not sure, but instead of 8 years/100k miles, it be 10 years 85k miles, kinda lame
