Default New to Third Gen GS forum.

Just purchased a 2006 GS430 from Houston, TX that should be delivered here in STL tomorrow. I am new to this section of CL, but have been in the ES forums since 2007.

I Had a 2002 ES300, and a 2005 ES330. Prior to that, I was a moderator on ToyotaNation.com. I have owned quite a few Toyotas including a 89 5-speed 4x4 pickup, 90 4runner SR5 4x4 5-speed, 2007 Camry SE V6, 2000 Celica GT-S 6-speed. I am an ASE Certified "MasterAutomotive Technician", "Undercar Specialist", and "Service Consultant."

I look forward to being a part of the GS forums, and look forward to assisting in any way I can with technical information if needed. I will update with Pics as soon as I can once I take delivery.

Rough news. The hauler that is delivering my car, his truck, a Kenworth T600 broke down in Shreveport, LA with a blown transmission. They are hoping the shop can get his truck going by 3pm 1/21. If so, he has two drops before me. The first drop is in Arkansas, but they dont open until Monday, So he will stay near there till Monday and make the drop. The next drop is in Carbondale, IL. After Carbondale, they will be on the way with my car. Very Frustrating!

Welcome. nice to have an ASE tech on board and active in the forums. We currently have a 07 SE V6 Camry as well.

The 430 is silky smooth. I just took delivery of my 450 last week. Was very happy with it. Sorry to hear that the transport broke down but the 430 will be worth the wait.

Bummer on the transport -- but it will get there (eventually) the 430 is one sweet ride. And you already know that, even though you haven't driven yours just quite yet. Nice thing being in your profession, you get to see what a lot of us just have to guess at...

So, while I am completely new to CL myself relative to you, sir -- welcome to the 3rd gen GS forum on the CL you've always known and loved...

That sucks, I would be freaking out. Look at it this way, the anticipation will be greater for the car.
