Default 08 GS350 wht/blk loaded what should i pay?

I am going to look at a 08 GS350 w/36,000 miles. Starfire Pearl Exterior with Black Interior. It is fully loaded; nav, cam, parking sensors, ml. The car is in excellent shape, driven by an older lady.

How much should I pay for this? They are asking 29,500. Let me know what a good deal would be! Thanks!!

I think that's a decent deal. White on Black is a highly desirable combo. Personally, I would offer $27 and go up from there

$1000 over what they paid and get the lowest interest rate possible.

Lol......they are always driven by an older lady according to the salesman. Is it a CPO? That would be worth the extra $$.

I just paid $26.5k for an 07 awd CPO with 29k miles. Always start lower than what you think they will take imo. You can come up in price. If they take your first offer you prob paid too much

Agreed. You an always go up but can never go back down

As a reference, I paid $28k for a 07 Slver/black GS450h with 12k miles in Nov from a private seller

If it is a private seller you can likely get an even better deal. One thing I hated about the dealer is the $700 bs dealer admin. You are saving that. I would of course get a carfax and go on lexus.com and get service info by the VIN. You can also call and add an extended lexus warranty as long as you are still under fac warranty. Search the extended warranty threads. There are a couple of guys that can sell you the warranty for less than what the dealership charges.

I think the price sounds fair -- we were trying to buy the same car with 31k miles from a dealer and they wouldn't take $30k. Like the others said, start low and come up from there and I wouldn't be afraid to start at $27k, especially if you've got cash. Look at what KBB trade in is on it -- I often use that as my start point

See what the service history is (they should have records) -- how fresh are the brakes, tires, etc.? (all cost $s), did they take it to Lexus for service (at least for the 30k service)? With a PP sale you could get them to write in a lower sales price and pay a bit less on taxes too (in CA). And make sure they smog it 1st (it's the law in CA anyway) which is another $50...

I wish I would have seen it

good luck!!

27-29K is definitely a fair deal for a desirable color combo with all options.

I think that's a very nice deal. Ours had: more owners, is probably rougher outside but cleaner inside, more desirable (to us) color and had 35k miles. BUT it was $26k before tax and extended warranty, so $30k out the door...

I'd buy it and not look back.....

Thanks for the reply. The only thing stopping me is that I have to fly to Phoenix and drive it back to LA. Plane tickets are about 200 right now.

Picking it up next week. Paid 29,000 and they helped by writing down the sale price. She wouldn't budge that much

congrats!!! We would have snapped it up at that price ourselves... We really got down to only looking at silver/black or white/black towards the end of our search. Is it still under factory warranty?
