Hi Guys,
Pretty new to the Lexus community, I've had my car for about 7 months now and its a great all year round car .
However about a month ago , there is a loud squeal from the front end when i make left turns and normal speeds and low speeds.
still makes the sound in normal and cold temperatures
Do you know if this is a common problem ?
Also the passenger side mirror doesnt tilt down any longer but the driver side mirror tilts.
any help would be greatly appreciated , I searched for a while before I made this thread
but I couldnt find anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated , Thanks !

I turn the auto mirrors off during the winter... I think the mirrors getting frozen and then trying to tilt is what kills them.
Noise is probably CV or ball joint. My guess CV joint boot is torn and lost lubrication... check under there if you can and see if there is black oil all over the place or a lot of dirt sticking to the boot or signs of tearing.

Yeah sounds like your actuator went. I had the same problem and it was covered under warranty, like GS350Lexus said your better off trying to go on ebay or even www.mylexparts.com I got a cost on it and the dealer wrote up $546 for one actuator had to get both replaced. Hope this helps.

Had the same problem after a brake job, it was the brake shield touching the rotor at low speeds when turning, not much space between the rotor and the shield

^^ I agree. Same thing happened to mine. Just took the tire off and pushed the dust shield away from rotor.
Like everyone said, the tilt motor in your mirror went bad. Known problem with the GS mirrors. I dunno if there is a DIY on CL but definatly there are threads on the subject.
Good luck.

I had a similar problem with, my mirror I kept messing with it. And it started working just fine again, I first used my fingers to manually push the mirror up and down. Then I used the controls to move it around adjusting it, it stood working just fine. What I also do now as sort of an extra measure. When I park I deselect the mirrors then fold them in
