Seafoam - If you add it to the intake manifold, it will clean the intake passages. If you do this method, only add little by little slowly or else you might hydrolock the engine. If you add it in the gas tank, it can be a gas stabalizer and it will clean the injectors.

Theres no need to do an oil change if you run seafoam through the injectors, the spark plugs will ignite all that seafoam. I would rather see you do both, through the gas tank and pop off the vacuum plug on the intake manifold and with a vacuum tube let it sip seafoam out of a cup while the engine is running, you will want to almost choke it emptying half a bottle and take a 30 min break and repeat to finish the rest of the bottle. It would be a good time to remove the throttle body (easy, undo 4 bolts) and clean it inside and out with wd40 and a rag

Scotty Kilmer says buy a cheap bore scope. Take a look. You probably don't need a cleaning like that. You may benefit from cleaning certain parts, like the mass airflow sensor (MAF), throttle body, etc., but I would do them directly.

Having had several cars with around 300k miles, I’ve found using Top Tier gas the best option. The high detergents will do the job better than the controversial/questionable Seafoam, Techron, BG44, etc. additives. Many car manufacturers discourage additives.

Once you lift up the engine cover, you will see the plugged vaccum line on the passenger side rear corner.
Look at the 2nd photo its on the left side, you cant miss it!
