Be careful. If your not mechanically inclined and don't understand what your looking at under the hood you could do grave damage should you get bad advice or misapply the cleaner.

That said- i've only added Seafoam via my crankcase (oil cap) and gas tank.

Your car is pretty new, is that necessary?

Remember to get an oil change/spark plugs afterwards...

Use Seafoam if the car has sat idle for 4+ months, if the car has high miles (100,000+) or if you have a pre-1990 collector car with few miles. A 2008 GS350 doesn't need Seafoam.

I use Seafoam in my gas tank only every 15000kms, no need to do anything else with it

so lets say your 08 gs has 100000+ miles. and you use seafoam through the gas tank. will it have ANY negative effects?

besides doing an oil change and plugs, what else needs to be done? do i add the seafoam to an near empty gas tank?

and for those who have actually used this product before, what have you noticed different post-seafoam? better fuel consumption? quieter engine? regained power?.

.

NOOOOOOOO! Never add any additive or cleaner to an empty tank I hope you mean add and then fill up directly behind it before starting the engine.

Please Read the directions. Its something like 1.5 oz for every gallon of gas

No need for plugs, Lexus plugs are iridium and changed once every 100k

You can do an oil change, but not necessary if simply adding the whole thing to the tank - at that point its like any additive, just pour and go.

If you do it the proper way, 1/3 gas tank, 1/3 in crankcase, and 1/3 thru the brake booster [while holding the engine from stopping], yes you need to change oil since your adding it directly.

With that said, i have not notice anything different on my ES300 when doing this. The way i see it - its not going to gain 10mpg. BUT if it removes even *a little* bit of carbon build up/gunk, it has done its job for a whole 10$ investment!

If you think you need to clean the combustion chamber and fuel injector side, dose your next fuel fill up with Techron. It truly is amazing stuff.

Seafoam? Really? Anything you add to all fluid areas of the engine just doesn't play well in my brain, one size doesn't fit all in the chemistry...

Hey, but It probably is good on the leather and for shining up the tires too...

Got a bottle of that crap as a gift, it did nothing at all. I don't believe in any fuel additives NONE.
