Default What is this dragging on the bottom of my car?

Heard some loud scratching noses today. So I pulled over and looked around and saw this. What is this?

look what the cat drag in. LOL

doesn't look like any part I recognize. Might not even be your Lexus. Only closest thing I can think of is the engine cover, but that thing is deep and on top of the engine. Not likely it can fall this far.

all the under cover I've seen are flat like a sheet. This doesn't look flat.

its looks like Under body cover that goes to your oil filter.

That's what it looks like to me, a couple of screws must have fallen out.

zz0122 is correct. Its the under cover flap door that is covering up the access to your oil filter. It popped loose on me a couple of times, I was fortunate that the screw was not lost & still in its slot or the door panel dragging on the street. I just closed the panel door & gave it good full turn of the screw & have not had any problems since. I hit a speed bump harder than I should have & it jarred it loose.

looks like the smaller under engine cover that protects the belts/oil filter and its not flat. I know because I just installed the one on my car because it was missing, and lord knows for how long it was missing. It takes 7 screws to hold in place.

I haven't looked under my car in a while but I would not be shocked to find that some tech didn't replace it somewhere along the line and it'll be missing. Considering after some recall work I looked under my hood at home and found the entire engine cover missing one time... :|
